Payment-provider reconciliation compares a card receipt with the provider's statement. Record the exchange-rate difference or deduction against the corresponding booking movement.
For example, a booking may show a 720 EUR receipt while the provider's statement shows 709.56 EUR. Check the 10.44 EUR difference against the statement before recording it.
Why amounts can differ
The payment provider may apply its own exchange rate and agreed deductions during collection. Compare conversion details when the booking, processing or payout currencies differ. Confirm the reason for a difference using the statement and agreement terms.
What are basis points?
Basis points express percentages in smaller units. 100 basis points means 1%, 145 means 1.45%, and 10 means 0.10%. Statements may use the abbreviation bps.
A 1.45% deduction from 720 EUR is 10.44 EUR, leaving 709.56 EUR.

Save reconciliation
- Open the movement and the provider statement.
- Enter the verified difference in basis points. The field accepts values from 0 to 10,000.
- Select Mark reconciled and save.
The record includes the operator and save time. It leaves the open list and remains in All with its history.
To correct an error, open the movement and clear its reconciled status. The difference remains visible unless explicitly cleared. The operator and time are retained for each change.
This action does not transfer money. The recorded difference supports explanation and review; it creates no new money movement. Cash position reflects completed receipts.
Permission and scope
Saving reconciliation requires a separate permission from viewing financial reports. Report access alone does not permit reconciliation changes.
Statement details are entered per movement; this action does not import the statement automatically. Cardholder payment disputes are tracked under Refunds and payment disputes.
