Flights

Flights can be sold from a contracted seat block or booked with a connected flight supplier. A seat block might cover 50 seats from Istanbul to Tbilisi every Saturday. A connected supplier lets you find airline offers for a customer's dates, check their current price and issue tickets from the Console.

Book a connected supplier's flight

Open Bookings, start a new booking and choose Flight. This choice appears when your organization has an active flight supplier connection with saved payment terms. It does not appear while you resume an accommodation draft.

  1. Search the journeys

Choose one way, round trip or multi city. Enter airports, dates, adults, children and infants, then choose a cabin if needed. For example, search Istanbul to London and back for two adults and one child.

Choose one fare option for each journey. Compare baggage, change and refund conditions as well as the total. Later journeys show which options can be booked with your earlier choice. Times are local to each airport; a next-day arrival is marked.

  2. Check the current price

Continue to the price step. Review the fare, taxes, supplier fees, service fee and total for the party. The service fee is the amount per passenger you set for the supplier under Distribution > My Pricing. If the total has changed, acknowledge the new amount before continuing. When the price expires, price the selection again.

Read the fare rules and included baggage. A change or refund marked as allowed without a stated fee does not mean it is free.

  3. Enter passengers and the contact

Complete the required fields for each passenger. Check names against the travel documents and review how the airline will print them. Link each infant to an adult. Check the contact email, phone, communication language and invoice details before continuing.

  4. Hold or issue tickets

Issue tickets now asks for confirmation before sending the ticketing request. Hold, where offered, reserves the seats without issuing tickets or paying the supplier. The booking then shows its ticketing deadline.

Issuing tickets pays the supplier from your organization's account. It does not collect payment from the customer. If the trip creates several orders, check the outcome of each one on the booking.

A reservation code is not a ticket. The airline booking reference (PNR) can exist before ticketing. Wait for the order to show issued tickets. If the airline's answer is pending or unknown, follow the existing booking instead of creating another one.

Manage the supplier flight booking

The booking summary shows the route, travel dates and passengers. Its Flight card lists journeys, local departure and arrival times, passengers, tickets and each order's state. Supplier names and purchase amounts require permission to view supplier details.

Available actions depend on the order's state and your permissions. Use the actions on its Flight card:

Action What it does
Issue tickets Tickets a held reservation before its deadline, after confirmation.
Cancel reservation Releases an unticketed reservation. No ticket refund is needed.
Void tickets Requests cancellation within the airline's void window. The airline can refuse it after that window; review the confirmation, including any service fee retained.
Refund Fetches the airline's quote. Review paid amount, penalty and refund, then confirm before the quote expires. The refund covers the whole order.
Check with supplier Reads the current state of the existing order.

If an order's outcome is unknown and no supplier reference was received, an authorized operator can link the matching supplier order or confirm that no order exists. Establish the outcome with the supplier first.

A supplier refund and a customer refund are separate. A refund to your supplier account does not send money to the customer. Review the booking's payments before returning customer funds.

Send tickets and schedule changes

Leave Email the tickets to the customer selected in the issue confirmation to send the e-ticket once the airline has issued it. You can also use Send to customer on a ticketed order. Check any send failure before assuming the customer received it.

When a journey's schedule changes, review the marked times and use Notify customer. The notice shows the affected journeys. These flight documents replace the accommodation voucher for the flight booking.

To find the booking again, enter its full PNR or ticket number in the Bookings search box. Users with supplier visibility can also search by supplier order number.

Flight requests through AI Operator

AI Operator can find and price flights, collect the required passenger information and prepare a booking. Review its approval card for the route, passengers, total and the choice to hold or issue tickets. Order changes also require approval. An unknown supplier outcome is followed on the existing booking.

You can also include one supplier flight order with your own services in a Console package. See Packages for the composition and cancellation rules.

Sell a contracted seat block

Define the charter flight in a contract with its route, operating days, season and passenger fares. Each booking uses seats from your contracted block. The Partner API flight endpoints sell this product; connected-supplier search and ticket management described above belong to the Console.

Flights price by passenger type, not by age band. Where rooms and tours discount children by age, a flight prices each passenger as an adult, child or infant, each with its own fare and tax.

How a charter flight is priced

  • Fares are set per passenger type, adult, child, infant.
  • Each fare splits base and tax, tracked separately.
  • An infant takes no seat, its own fare, capacity-exempt, while adults and children each take a seat.
  • Outbound and return legs are priced separately, so a round trip is the sum of two legs.

What a flight contract carries

ElementWhat it carries
Route and scheduleOrigin and destination airport, cabin, the days it flies, and the season.
TimesEach leg's departure and landing time, local at each airport, and the landing day (same day, next day or later). A technical stop, where the aircraft lands and nobody changes plane, carries its own landing and leaving times; a direct flight has none.
Seat blockThe held seat count, the pool every booking draws from.
Passenger faresBase and tax per passenger type, adult, child, infant.
Ticketing deadlineThe latest a seat sells before unsold seats return.
Cancellation policyDate-based refund and penalty terms.

How a charter booking runs

  1. The traveller picks a route, date, cabin and party. The system classifies each passenger as adult, child or infant and returns the fares.

  2. Prebook

The selected price and available seats are checked again. Prebook does not reserve seats.

  3. Book

The booking confirms and reduces the seat block. Its cancellation terms are kept with the booking.

The seat block is a hard limit. Once the held seats are sold, the flight is closed for that date, there is no overbooking past the block, even with demand left.
