Tours

A tour is a guided activity you sell alongside a stay, a city tour, a day excursion, an evening show. A single-day one is an excursion; a multi-day one is a tour. Each is authored as a contract and booked through the same search → prebook → book flow as a room.

One tour, several departure options. A tour is the container; what a traveller buys is a departure option on it, a shared seat or a private group, from a chosen pickup zone.

How a tour is priced

A tour offers one or more departure options, each priced its own way:

Departure optionHow it prices
SharedOne price per person, on an adult base, with children priced by age bracket. Seats draw down a shared capacity, for example a 20-seat coach.
PrivateOne price per group, optionally tiered by group size, for example 1–4 people, then 5–8 people.

What a tour contract carries

ElementWhat it carries
Pickup zonesWhere each departure option starts from.
Operating calendarThe days a tour runs, for example Mon/Wed/Sat, and its blackout dates.
CapacitySeats held per departure date; bookings draw the pool down.
Child bracketsAge ranges and pricing on shared options.
Cancellation policyDate-based refund and penalty terms.
Release and cut-offWhen unsold capacity is released, and the latest a booking is taken.

How a booking runs

  1. The traveller picks a tour, a departure option, a date and a party. The system returns a price for the option on that date.

  2. Prebook

The chosen option is held, drawing on its seat capacity, while details are completed.

  3. Book

The booking confirms, with a cancellation quote attached from the tour's policy.

Capacity is enforced per departure. A departure sells only while seats remain in its pool; once it is full, it closes for that date even with demand left.

Sell a tour on its own

A tour can be booked without a stay, in the Console, by the AI Operator and on your web shop. In the Console, open New booking and choose Tour at the top of the screen; it appears when your Organization has tours of its own.

  1. Choose the tour, the date and the party

Choose the tour, the date, the adults and each child's age, then Show departures.

  2. Choose a departure

Each departure shows whether it is a Private tour or a Group tour, a hotel pickup or the meeting point, the seats left, the free cancellation deadline and the price, in the currency its tour contract sells in. A Bodrum boat tour for two adults shows a group departure at 09:00 with hotel pickup and free cancellation until the day before. If the price changes when the departure is checked, the screen shows the old and the new price, and the booking sells at the new one.

  3. Enter the customer and book

Enter the customer's name and email, then choose Book. Take the payment on the booking.

The AI Operator sells a tour the same way and asks for your approval with a card that names the tour, the day, the party, the price and the free cancellation deadline. On your web shop, tours are sold once the shop offers Tours; see Online shop bookings.
