A sub-agency is an organization you have given the right to sell your products. The Sales Network screen is where you create that relationship, choose its source market, and pause or end it later. Access and pricing are set on their own pages; Sales Network holds the relationship itself.
You prepare the relationship from your own organization. An independent sub-agency accepts your request before you can activate it. For example, you can prepare access to Hotel Sunrise while the sub-agency reviews the request; it cannot sell the property yet.
What a sub-agency is granted
Every sub-agency carries three things, set when you create it and adjustable afterward.
| Element | What it sets |
|---|---|
| Source market | The country group a sale is made from, which is its point of sale. See Markets. |
| Currency | The single currency the relationship transacts and reports in. |
| Status | Where the sub-agency is in its lifecycle (see below). |
Access (which products) and sub-agency pricing attach to the sub-agency through the Access and Distribution rules pages. The source commercial model remains a rate-plan property. To work with a sub-agency on a credit limit or money paid in advance, open its account on the Account tab.
Create a sub-agency
-
Choose the sub-agency
Search your organizations by name and pick the sub-agency. If it does not exist yet, create a minimal record (name, type, contact) without leaving the form. Full setup (users, credentials) happens later when the sub-agency claims the account.
-
Choose the source market
Select the country group a sale is made from. This is its point of sale, the market that decides which products and prices apply when no country of sale is supplied.
-
Set the currency
Choose the currency the relationship transacts in. The amounts the sub-agency pays and its own retail layer are recorded in it; upstream commercial composition remains private.
-
Check acceptance and activate
The sub-agency accepts the request in its own Sales Network screen. Until then, Awaiting acceptance prevents activation. Acceptance alone does not open sales: you then move the relationship to Active and check its Access and Distribution rules.
For an organization already administered by yours, or created by one of your organization's users, acceptance is recorded automatically. Activation and sales access still remain separate steps.
Reference sub-agencies by name, never by id. Every picker on these screens searches by the sub-agency's name and resolves the rest for you. You never type or see an internal id.
Lifecycle
A sub-agency moves through ordered states. It never skips a step, and a revoked sub-agency is final.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Set up but not yet selling. The sub-agency cannot see or book anything. |
| Active | Live. The sub-agency can search, price and book within its access and pricing. |
| Suspended | Paused. Selling stops immediately; the relationship and its settings are kept, ready to resume. |
| Revoked | Ended for good. Selling stops and the relationship cannot be reactivated. |
Suspend pauses; revoke ends. Suspend when you want to stop a sub-agency from selling but keep the relationship (a payment dispute, a seasonal break). Revoke only when the relationship is over, because it cannot be undone.
One sub-agency, several providers
An organization can be the sub-agency of more than one provider at the same time. Nothing special is needed on your side: each relationship is independent, with its own markets, pricing and currency. When the sub-agency searches, it sees a single blended list of everything it is allowed to sell, each line priced under the relationship it came from. See Selling as a sub-agency.
